In August of 2013, Hope for Home Ministries opened their first family-based group home for children with special needs in San Antonio Aguas Caliented, Guatemala. Named Hogar de la Esperanza (Hope Home) this ministry provides a loving and healing home for children with disabilities. Each child receives lots of love from a real family, top quality medical care, therapy and education while also learning of the love of Jesus Christ.
In April of 2017 we opened our second home, and a third in August of 2019. Now home four is scheduled for opening in late Spring of 2021.
Our eventual goal is to open 10 homes based on this family model that will care for over 100 children with special needs.

Hogar Nueva Esperanza for Adults
In 2020 we opened the doors of our first home for adults with special needs. Under the direction of our former head nannie, Luisa Aguilar, this home gives the same family care and love to children who have aged out of our homes.
Currently there are five residents, with another aging into the home soon. Each one is loved and cared for as a part of the home, as well a part of the overall Hogar de la Esperanza community of siblings, parents, aunts and uncles, and grandparents that make them feel so valued and helps them to achieve their full potential.
