Hi, I’m Karilyn Hershberger! I’m from Colorado and in 2023 God led me to Guatemala for the first time. I worked as a nanny caring for the children at the Fulp Group Home and ended up staying to serve as an intern for five months. It was a truly transformative experience! I fell in love with the kids and the country, and it was difficult to say goodbye. After being in the States for a while I felt the Lord’s prompting to return to Guatemala and I asked Him if that’s really what He wants me to do. Two days later He answered, when I received a text message asking if I would consider returning to Guatemala for six months to a year. I said yes! I returned in September of 2023 and recently decided to join the ministry more permanently. I will be in the States for a few months to get to know and bond with my little brother whom my family is adopting from Bulgaria. In March 2026 I plan to move to Guatemala to continue serving as a nanny in the Fulp Group Home. I will also be tending to the large garden on the ministry property and will care for Zamp, our therapy horse. I’m also looking forward to starting to manage some egg laying chickens! I’m excited how the Lord will use me in the coming months and years and appreciate your support along the way!
