José Danilo lives in the department of Petén with his mother. He was born with cerebral palsy and when we met José in 2024 he had been unable to walk for many years. José Danilo is incredibly motivated and since beginning physiotherapy, he can now walk short distances on his own, which has been life-changing for both him and his mom! However, he must travel 45 minutes each way to his therapy appointments and the travel via bus and tuktuk is both challenging for them and beyond what they are able to afford.
